Some users have reported a crash when opening TriageLink after the upgrade.  This is because the database is out of sync with the new application code.  Please delete the TriageLink application and download it again to fix this problem.

Collecting patient information is difficult during chaotic emergency medical scenes. Traditionally, call data has been collected onto pre-printed ‘crib sheets’, notebooks, gloves, sheets, pillowcases, or whatever is in reach. At the hospital, these notes must then be collated into an organized Patient Care Report. Providers often end up estimating the times vital signs are recorded.

TriageLink© solves this problem.  TriageLink© for iPhone allows medical personnel to quickly record and track patient information and vital signs. TriageLink© runs on your phone; a tool you take with you everywhere.

TriageLink© collects information including age, gender, chief complaint, and eleven different patient observations including level of consciousness, heart rate, blood pressure, respiration rate, oxygen saturation, blood glucose, pupils, lung sounds, skin color, temperature, moisture, Glasgow coma score, and triage status – all in real time.

Vital signs are recorded using intuitive entry pages; for example, pupil size is recorded by matching the pupil with a similarly sized dot. Users collect time-based observations (heart rate, respiration rate) utilizing a timed-entry feature. Users can actually specify when additional vitals are needed and the application will prompt them to obtain that data.

When the EMS provider is ready, the patient’s data is organized into a time-sequenced report that can be emailed from the phone, to the emergency department, for example, and can be used for accurate entry into their Patient Care Report.

TriageLink© also supports a triage mode for managing mass casualty incidents, employing the S.T.A.R.T algorithm to determine a patient’s triage status.  While in triage mode, TriageLink© displays a list of patients color-coded and sorted by priority. Users can filter the data to show only those patients that have not been transported.
